Therapy Approaches Available

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a form of therapy that uses eye movements or other forms of rhythmic stimulation to help individuals process traumatic memories and reduce the emotional distress associated with them. It is based on the idea that traumatic experiences can become “stuck” in the brain, and that by processing them in a specific way, the brain can reprocess the traumatic memories and reduce their emotional impact. EMDR is often used to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but it can also be used to treat other conditions such as anxiety, phobias, and addiction.

IFS

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a form of therapy that helps individuals understand and heal the different “parts” of themselves. It is based on the idea that the mind is made up of multiple parts, each with its own feelings, beliefs, and roles, and that at our core we all have a compassionate Self that can guide healing. By building a relationship with protective and wounded parts, clients can release burdens from past experiences, reduce inner conflict, and move toward greater balance and self-compassion. IFS is often used to treat trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges, but can be helpful for anyone seeking deeper self-understanding and emotional healing.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a short-term, goal-oriented therapy that focuses on changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to psychological distress. It is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that by changing our thoughts and behaviors, we can change how we feel. CBT is often used to treat anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders, as well as addiction and other behavioral problems.
