Welcome—taking the first step toward change is an act of courage and hope. You are here because you are ready to invest in yourself and create a brighter, more fulfilling future.

Trying to survive and thrive simultaneously is like swimming with a weighted blanket—challenging and exhausting. Something brought you here, and that's okay. Everyone needs support at some point; you are not alone. Maybe you struggle with anxiety, depression, addiction, or are facing a significant transition—moving, switching careers, loss, grief, anger, or loneliness. Perhaps you seek personal growth or self-discovery, hoping for more profound insight or stronger relationships. You may aim to enhance your well-being, develop coping strategies during stressful times, or raise your self-confidence. Life can overwhelm anyone, regardless of your reasons. I'm glad you're here.

I offer a supportive and empowering environment where you can discover effective strategies to help you regain control over your life, improve your emotional well-being, and navigate challenges with greater confidence. In therapy, you can expect to develop skills for coping with stress, building healthier relationships, and fostering resilience. You are worth the investment—your value, dignity, and purpose matter deeply. Together, we will tap into the transformative power of human connection to help you achieve lasting change.

I am autistic, dyslexic, learning disabled, and have ADHD. As a child, I had a severe speech impediment. I survived childhood abuse and religious trauma. I am a veteran of the military and law enforcement. I live with CPTSD and PTSD and have been sober since 2017. I have been married and divorced, experienced loss, and been touched by suicide. Several of my children are part of the neurominority and LGBTQ communities. I understand life’s challenges and the pain that comes with trauma and change. I have struggled to swim with that weighted blanket—sometimes just surviving, wanting to give up, or trying hard to thrive but struggling. At times, I felt alone, overwhelmed, and even hopeless. Through therapy, I found hope, inner strength, self-awareness, and acceptance. Now, I want to help you, pay it forward, hear your story, and share in your journey.

My experiences have taught me a great deal and led me to self-discovery. I hold degrees in theology, leadership, and mortuary science. I am currently pursuing a second master's in social work and plan to earn a doctorate in the same field. I care deeply about people and want to make a difference. My passion is to help others find their way and become their best selves. I am a lifelong student, always curious about the world. My diverse vocational and educational background has shaped me into the person I am today. I care deeply about what is happening inside both the head and heart. I strive for greater emotional intelligence and self-awareness. I believe self-awareness and self-acceptance hold the keys to happiness.

In therapy, I believe in a person-centered approach. I focus on understanding and supporting you as an active participant in your life. I strive to see your perspective while creating a safe space for self-exploration. I will accept you without judgment and work to earn your trust and respect. I encourage you to make informed decisions about your care to build your autonomy and self-worth. I see you as a whole person, taking into account your background, values, and goals. I believe this approach promotes personal growth and resilience. I have experience in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, mentoring, life and grief counseling, crisis support, and working with individuals who are neurodiverse.

Your journey has already begun. Together, we can work toward a brighter, empowered future. I look forward to celebrating your success.
